Thanks for your interest in becoming a member of the Holmdel Township Fire Department.
The first step in the application process is to be interviewed by a representative of the Fire Department Membership Committee. During this interview you will be informed of any prerequisites to joining, as stipulated in the Fire Department By-Laws. You will be informed of the Application Process, and you will be given a little insight into what will be expected of you after joining the department. Prior to your interview, you will be required to complete the PRE-APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP form and the front of the N.J. STATE FIREMENS ASSOCIATION APPLICATION form. Please bring these completed forms with you to the interview. To arrange for an interview, please call the Fire Department Officers phone, 732-946-2820, extension 1214 and leave a message with your name, phone number and best time to call back as well as a brief message noting that you are calling to arrange for a Fire Company Pre-Membership Interview.
The Holmdel Fire and Rescue Company # 2 is also taking applications for our explorer program. Explorers are junior firefighters between the ages of 14 and 18 who wish to learn more about the fire service and contribute to their community. Explorers are able to ride to calls with the fire department and assist firefighters on an emergency scene. Explorers are also encouraged to participate in training events and other firehouse activities.
